How long does a Full Groom take?

Most Full Grooms take two to three hours from drop off to pickup. Bathing and drying take up most of that time. Larger dogs and heavy coats take longer.

What is the difference between a Mini Trim and a Full Groom?

A Mini Trim tidies the face, paws and sanitary area and leaves the body coat as it is. A Full Groom cuts the whole body to a set length.

How often does my dog need grooming?

Most doodles and Poodles need a Full Groom every eight to twelve weeks, with brushing at home in between. Shih Tzus and Maltese are similar.

My dog is matted. Will you shave him?

Sometimes, and we will tell you before we do it. When a coat is tight to the skin the humane option is to clip it short and start again. The coat grows back.

Will my dog be sedated?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not sedate dogs. If a dog is too stressed to be finished safely we stop, tell you what was done, and charge only for that.

My dog hates the dryer. What do you do?

We turn the pressure and noise down, keep air off the face, and work in shorter stretches with breaks. Tell us at drop off if your dog has had a bad experience.

Does my dog actually need a haircut, or is a bath enough?

Accepted Answer

If the coat is not growing into the eyes, matting behind the ears or dragging on the ground, a bath is enough. Bath & Blow Dry from $40 covers a wash, brush out and professional dry with no haircut.
